SCHOLARSHIPS

Each year, BCRW offers a $1,000 scholarship to a senior graduating from each of the Burnet County High Schools (Burnet, Faith Academy, and Marble Falls).  The scholarship may be used for either a college or technical school.  The applicant must be a U.S. citizen, complete the school’s scholarship application, and submit an essay answering a question concerning the Republican Party and its basic platform as it relates to the views of the majority of Americans.

In even-numbered years, BCRW hosts a Chili Cookoff.  An auction is held in conjunction with this event as a fundraiser for scholarships to be given the following two years.  Donations are always welcome to supplement the funds raised.  To make a donation, mail a check made out to BCRW to the club treasurer, Carolyn Richmond, 320 Columbine, Meadowlakes, TX 78654.
